Düşünen Adam: The Journal of Psychiatry and Neurological Sciences is in the DOI System

Düşünen Adam: The Journal of Psychiatry and Neurological Sciences is registered with the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) System, a unique alphanumeric string assignment system that provides permanent and easy access to content in the digital environment. Articles with DOI names and included in the system acquire rapid global accessibility and the authors gain a publication advantage; thus, when an article goes online with a DOI name prior to being published in the printed media, the author may still include the article in a list of published works without waiting for the article to appear in the printed media.

Information about a digital object may change over time, including where to find it, but its DOI name will not change. Referring to an online document by its DOI name provides more stable linking than simply referring to it by its URL.

The DOI System, which provides a framework for persistent identification of content in the digital environment, is an ISO international standard and is managed by the International DOI Foundation.

Easy and rapid access to articles with the DOI name

Those authors whose articles have been published in our journals registered with the DOI System are actually enabling rapid access to their articles by the national and international scientific public and as such also increasing the citation potential of their articles.

The DOI System enables content management and management of data associated with the content. It provides easy accessability and connectivity between audiences and the content providers. The DOI System provides inter-linkage between all the content included in the system and consequently it is important in terms of both tracking and totalling citations. For instance, to access an online article, the DOI name is sufficient. When the name is entered in the search engine, such as http://dx.doi.org the browser takes you to the web page containing the article associated with the DOI name you have entered.
